Jacquie Toia is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago for the past 35 years. She completed her bachelors of science in nursing at the College of Saint Teresa in MN, masters of science in nursing at DePaul University in Chicago, masters of science and doctor of nursing practice at Rush University in Chicago. Her area of practice and expertise are Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Transplant Medicine, and Pediatric Oncology. Her research interests include antibiotic use at the end of life for pediatric patients, invasive fungal infections in immunocompromised hosts, norovirus in transplant recipients, and vaccine optimization in pre & post transplant patients. Jacquie is a member of several professional organizations including Infectious Diseases Society of America, Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, & the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
